The Road Winds through this San Jose

So Here I am at 3rd again
I'm circling San Jose
The streets all go from left to right
So left's the only way

My stomach turns and growls at me
With every step I take
I've been asleep for twenty years
I'm finally awake

Oh but it's gone
That fear of growing old
I sing this song
From dust to dust, from Gold to gold
From life to death I'm told

The starbucks all come after me
There's one on every street
A local train is on its way
Please let me find a seat

I come across a sandwich shop
I've sought it all my life
The door is locked the keys are gone
I'll go hungry tonight

Oh but it's gone
That fear of growing old
I sing this song
From dust to dust, from Gold to gold
From life to death I'm told

The high school kids smell like cologne
They graduate next year
What they will see! Where they will go!
But I ended up here

America, there's noting else
But God and enemies
I'll take your name and abstinence
You'll take me on my knees

Oh but it's gone
That fear of growing old
I sing this song
From dust to dust, from Gold to gold

It's such a lazy day
I'm walking away from San Jose
