Major League Baseball Urns and Caskets
I was watching Sports Center on ESPN this morning, and they had a special report that caught my eye. The reporter was talking about European soccer fans, and services that some teams offer that allow said fans to be buried in or near their favorite team's field when they die. More and more teams, such as Hamburg SV in Hamburg or Boca Juniors in Buenos Aires, are begining to construct stadium-adjacent cemetaries where the most die-hard of fans can be buried for $5000-15000 USD. On top of that, there are now companies that are offering Soccer team-themed caskets for those fans cam be buried in.
OK, so that's kind of ridiculous. But even more ridiculous is the fact that Eternal Image is now offering a similar service for Major League Baseball fans. For $799 you can have your ashes kept in an Urn that is designed with the logos of your favorite MLB team (if that team is the Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, San Francisco Giants, or St. Louis Cardinals.) And coming soon, Major League Baseball™ Caskets. This getting ridiculous.
